Review: Good Omens
Good Omens by Terry Pratchett
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Every time I think about the Four Bikers of the Apocalypse, I start laughing again. War, Famine, Pollution...and Stupid Things that Won't Bloody Work Even when you Thump Them. The book is filled with so many of these clever and amusing details.
I listened to the audio version of this book and Martin Jones did an amazing job. As I listened, I was struck by the similarity in style to Eoin Colfer's "And Another Thing." It had the cleverness and hilarity of the entire Hitchhiker's series but in the tone I felt Colfer applied to the story. I've enjoyed several Neil Gaiman books and was not disappointed in this one! Terry Pratchett is new to me but I'll definitely read more.

Excellent story to share with my 7 year old daughter! The story was cute, the artwork was fantastic and they combined to make me a new fan. We'll definitely check out the rest of the series!

Review: The ADHD Workbook for Parents
The ADHD Workbook for Parents by Harvey C. Parker
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
This book was easy to read and understand. Reading it gave me a better sense of what to do to help my son. I recommend it to anyone with a new diagnosis and a lot of questions about what should happen next.

Review: What I Eat: Around the World in 80 Diets
What I Eat: Around the World in 80 Diets by Peter Menzel
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Another great read from Peter Menzel and Faith D'Aluisio! As with all of their books, the main idea is fascinating but the supporting info is just as interesting. These diets are actually glimpses into lifestyles most of us will never see or experience. The photos and the stories combined to make another book I couldn't put down!
